Ho Chi Minh City Opera House is located in the heart of the city. It is considered a multi-functional central theater, specializing in hosting performing arts. The building is designed in the Gothic architectural style, which was popular in France in the late 19th century. Both the exterior and interior are decorated with reliefs and statues.
In 2007, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council approved the renovation of the theater with a budget of approximately 1.6 billion VND. The renovation included the seats, the statues inside the theater, the wall reliefs, and the roof tiles. To match the Western European architecture of the theater, Decra AHI stone-coated steel tiles supplied by Toan Cau brought a breakthrough to the overall look. With this renovation, the theater has increasingly affirmed its value and is a very special highlight in the heart of the modern and bustling city.
