Introducing Armorshield-style bitumen roofing sheets – Honeycomb
IKO Armorshield bitumen roof for villa roof, also known as the concrete glued roof.
Instruction for construction of Armorshield-style bitumen roofing sheets – Honeycomb
First, before instructing the construction of bitumen roofing sheets, labor protection equipment, and labor safety during construction must be ensured. Tools and equipment must also be thoroughly inspected before use. Be sure to wear gloves covered with paint or plastic beads.
Step 1: Treatment of the roof base for the Armourshield honeycomb-style bitumen roofing sheet
The roof base must be flat, smooth, clean, and dry
Ensure the minimum roof slope required by each style
The surface of the roof foundation must have no protrusions, no cracks
Surface material must be nailed/screwed and pullable. Usually screed concrete or wood, Smartboard.
Note: If the roof slope is smaller than the minimum slope, it should be surveyed and consulted by the Technical Team of Global Building Materials Company Limited (TCBM) before construction.
Step 2: Treat the roof surface
For concrete roof base: use bituminous primer (Primer 7151 according to factory standard)
Use a roller to roll one layer on the roof surface evenly so it is completely covered.
Using more sika or waterproof mortar for concrete floors is recommended if the slope is slight or equal to the minimum slope specified by each design.
