LG Innotek Haiphong Factory, located in the Trang Due Industrial Park, is a key production facility of LG Innotek Vietnam. Construction began in 2016, with operations commencing in September 2017. The factory specializes in manufacturing camera modules for electronic devices, serving major clients like Apple. Spanning 17.2 hectares with an initial investment exceeding 1 billion USD, it stands as a strategic project for LG in Vietnam.
In 2023, LG Innotek injected an additional 1 billion USD, raising the total investment to over 2 billion USD to expand production. Phase III, slated for completion in 2025, will boost capacity to 390 million camera modules annually and create 2,600 new jobs. The factory not only solidifies LG Innotek’s prominence in the electronics industry but also significantly contributes to Haiphong’s economic growth, establishing itself as a flagship FDI project in the region.
