Thuan Kieu Plaza is located at 190 Hong Bang Street, Ward 12, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City. The construction of this building started in 1994 and finished in 1998; Thuan Kieu Plaza was the first apartment building in the city and housed the first shopping centre in District 5. Thuan Kieu Plaza comprises three old blocks with a height of 110m2 and a total floor area of 100.000m2. The total area of apartments was 60.000m2, the shopping centre covered an area of 20.000m2, and it provided 10.000m2 parking lots and a 10.000m2 space for entertainment and sports.
Over 20 years, Thuan Kieu Plaza was bought by An Dong Investment Joint Stock Company of Van Thinh Phat Group with around 600 billion VND. The new owner has changed the name of Thuan Kieu Plaza to The Garden Apartment, which is being renovated.
